He also served his country with the United States Navy, an experience that reflected his sense of duty and willingness to give of himself for something greater than his own interests.
Outside of work, James enjoyed a wide range of interests that kept him active and connected to the things he loved. He loved fishing and found peace and enjoyment in spending time near the water. Gardening was another favorite pastime.. He also enjoyed animals, playing golf, and watching sports. He liked watching television, camping, traveling, and especially treasured the adventures he and Sidney shared in their motorhome as they traveled all over the United States. He also enjoyed wintering in Palm Harbor, Florida, where he could relax and enjoy a change of pace.
His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
