Janet Kay (Herbert) Peters, age 61, died Thursday, August 11, 2005 at her residence.

She was the beloved wife of John Clayton Peters of Sarnia; loving mother of Mike Vario and his wife, Leah of Florida, Maria Merrill and her husband, Greg of Marine City and Angela Gordon and her husband, Bill of Corunna; stepmother of John Peters of Sarnia and Joy Kita of Camlachie; cherished grandmother to Dominic, Vincent, Cassy, Curtis, Randall, Karly and Kaitlyn; sister of Jean Wyncoop, Verna Course and Dennis Herbert. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Phyllis Peters; sister-in-law, Amy Peters Larocque; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Freeman Herbert and Marie (Vale) Mitchell and her father-in-law, Clayton Peters.

Mrs. Peters was a retired cosmetology teacher with the Blue Water School of Hair Design and was an active member of the W.I.B.C.

Services were held on Monday, August 15, 2005 in Sarnia, Ontario.
