Neita G. Murray, age 78, of Deckerville, passed away Monday September 21, 2020 in Autumnwood of Deckerville.
She was born September 4, 1942 in Port Huron the daughter of the late Norman and Elsie (Krause) Denman.
Neita grew up in Port Huron and graduated from Port Huron High School Class of 1961.
On February 14, 1980 she married Don Murray in the Deckerville United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death in 2019.
Neita received her teaching degree from Michigan State University. She joined the Deckerville Community School in 1973, retiring in 2003. She enjoyed making crafts, buying material for quilting, and then making quilts. She was a member of the McGregor United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie (Keith Wyton) Moddejonge of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and Cherie (Norm) Guthrie of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada and step-children Don (Connie) Murray of Carsonville, Angela (Trevor) Wagester of Lexington and Scott Murray of Marlette, ; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; one sister Karen Lewandowski of Port Huron and one brother Rodman (Shari) Denman of Texas, and several nieces and nephews.
