Carolyn M. Pickett, 71, of Port Huron, was delivered into the hands of our Lord and Savior on October 25, 2013 with her family by her side. She was born on October 18, 1942 in Port Huron, daughter of the late Frank and Lena Freiger. Carolyn was a resident of Kimball Twp. for 20 years where she enjoyed working the polls for many elections at the Kimball Twp. precinct. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ. Carolyn was a Port Huron Area School District lunchroom employee at Sparlingville Elementary for many years. She was also a member of the Kimball Citizens for Positive Action. Carolyn was President of the Desmond Village Resident Council for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren. Carolyn liked playing games and cards. She was loved by her family and friends. She blessed the lives of everyone who knew her and was always thoughtful of others before herself. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ranee (Paul) Thomas of Fort Gratiot; son and daughter-in-law, Randy (Jennifer) Pickett of Kimball; son and daughter-in-law, Ryan (Alissa) Pickett of St. Clair; grandchildren: Conrad, Alyx, Marlena, Lena, Mason, Savannah and Ryan; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce (Floyd) Bland of Port Huron and several nieces, nephews and many very special friends. Carolyn was preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph, Raymond, Dale and Lynn Freiger and three special friends, Joan Archibald, Judy Koshay and Bev DuPont.
