James Peter Mallorey December 2, 1942 - September 2, 2015
James Peter Mallorey Sr., age 72, of Port Huron, passed away on September 2, 2015, after a short illness, with his family by his side. He was born on December 2, 1942, in Port Huron, to the late John and Pauline (Wirtz) Mallorey.
He was a 1961 graduate of Port Huron High School and received an Associate’s Degree from St. Clair County Community College. He was a journeyman toolmaker and served his apprenticeship at Port Huron Machine Products and was a member of the Pattern Makers Association. After his retirement he worked for City Cab Company. He enjoyed driving, people, his pets, making people laugh and spending time near the water watching freighters.
He is survived by the love of his life, Joann Mallorey of Port Huron, sons, John J. Mallorey of Utah, C. Randall Mallorey of Port Huron, daughter and son-in-law, Angela J. (Wallace) Sanderson of Clyde, son, James P. Mallorey of Port Huron, four grandchildren; Jolinda, Christopher, Kevin and Katie, one great grandson, Gabriel, sisters; Joyce Wallen of Oklahoma, Constance Mallory of Port Huron, Catherine (Mark) Barnum of Smiths Creek, brothers; Paul Mallorey of North Carolina and David Mallorey of Idaho, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Edward Mallorey of Marysville.
A brief service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at 4:00 pm in the Jowett Funeral Home – 1634 Lapeer Avenue, Port Huron. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 pm until time of service at 4:00pm.
