January 26, 1943 - October 22, 2023: Joanne Elizabeth Spencer Crain passed away peacefully on October 22, 2023, from cancer. She was born on January 26, 1943, in Port Huron, Michigan to William & Maribelle Reid. She grew up on North Street and later graduated from Port Huron High School in 1961. Joanne married Dean Gaylord Spencer on December 19, 1964. They moved to Indianapolis, before moving back to Michigan where Joanne raised her three daughters. Her husband Dean was killed in an airplane crash on February 19, 1981. Joanne remarried then moved to Kansas, but later divorced. After her divorce, she moved closer to her daughters in Southern California where she resided until her passing. 

Joanne is survived by her daughters Michelle and her husband Anthony Gorka, Shannon and her husband Michael Sapp, and Sheri and her husband Todd Jackson; her two brothers Jim and Robert Reid, two sisters Shirley Montross & Martha Davey; and four grandchildren, Claire Shannon Jackson, Christian Dean Sapp, Spencer Hope Gorka, and Caleb Shane Sapp.
