Judith Anne Smith   January 2, 1943 - July 5, 2013

Judith (Judy) Anne Smith, Pringle, Parker, age 70, of Port Huron, went home to be with the Lord on July 5, 2013. She was born on January 2, 1943 in San Luis Obispo, CA, to the late Robert L. and Romylta M. Smith and has been a resident of Port Huron since 1944.

She married Ralph Edward Pringle on July 20, 1963, divorced  February 13, 1986.  On February 10, 1989, she married Bernard Theodore Parker and divorced September 26, 2005, remaining very close friends.

Judy was a foster parent for many years, a Past Mother Advisor for Rainbow Girls and a Past Worthy Matron for the Mystic Chapter No. 58.  She worked as an LPN at both Mercy and Port Huron Hospitals.  Then worked as an assistant for 18 years for Dr. Lawrence Beck, Oral Surgeon.  She spent 5 years working for Amicare in home healthcare service and then before retiring worked two and half years for Sanborn Gratiot Memorial Home, as a cook.

After retiring, she spent many years responsible for handing out the food surplus, volunteering at the Red Cross, and served as a building monitor at the Grandview Towers.

She loved being around and helping people.  In her quiet time, she enjoyed playing games on her computer.  She was very proud of her 3 grandchildren and would talk about them to anyone that would listen.

She is survived by her son, Patrick (Lauri) Pringle, 3 grandchildren; Jason, Nickolas and Matthew Pringle, brother, Alan (Linda) Smith, sisters; Meg (Jim) Stanley, Laurie (Paul) Tetreau and Janet Dew, along with four nieces, eight nephews and longtime friend, Theodore Parker.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Ann Pringle, brother, Robert L. Smith, Jr. and parents Robert L. and Romylta M. Smith.

Her family will honored the memory of Judy at the Jowett Funeral Home - 1634 Lapeer Ave. at 17th St., Port Huron on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 and again on Thursday, July 11. A memorial service was held on July 11 at the funeral home.  Interment was at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated.
