Kitty was a neighbor in 1953, one house north of Sherman Woods on Armour St., just behind George Day Sr. A small cottage. I think she had two older brothers. A driveway-lane went East to Conger St., next to the Mary Bryant house.

On Sunday eves, our bunch of kids went there to watch Ed Sullivan on the tele. The mom always had some chips and soda waiting. We saw early Elvis, the last item on the show. In the sixth and seventh grades, we played board and card games on the living room floor. Someone explained to the very timid boys how to play spin the bottle. This was initiated by the girls. This took quite a few years of practice. During the six or so years they lived there, never met the dad.

Kitty was a fairly good student, always very cheery. I understand she married and had three children. Was involved in a horrible car accident, losing two children. Then, fell on hard times and was incapacitated for a number of months. Was in AZ when she expired a few years ago. Sad, for a very nice person.
