As I recall, James was a Port Huron firefighter. At Garfield School time, I think the folks lived near the water, by Garfield Ave. Someone pointed out a paraglider behind a boat and said that was Jim, doing his thing north of Lighthouse Park.
Maureen Olivera said Jim was Juan's chief mechanic on the Greenwood Corvette race car. The car tires were only about 8 pounds. The car got sold to a Detroit guy for $28,000, all 100's, almost enough to pay off the bank note.
